Many people dream of having their own business. But if you want this dream to come true, you should be hard-working, ambitious, self-disciplined and obsessed with your passion. Running your own business can give you a lot of benefits. And it seems a lot better than working for a boss for the rest of your life. If you want to be a successful businessman or a businesswoman, you should be self-organized. It’s not as easy as it seems, as you should have many skills, know how to organize your time and to communicate effectively with different types of people. You also need a lot of patience in order to achieve your goals. And you should be strong enough to take responsibility for your actions.
As a kid, I used to dream that I would make a lot of money when got older. But now I realize that I don’t have all the needed qualities for becoming a successful businessman. I wish I had these qualities. Then I would open a cozy bookshop.
I don’t have any business idols, but I respect people who have passion in their heard and do everything possible to achieve their dreams. In my humble opinion I would be a good, kind and understanding boss for my employees, but I don’t have the possibility to check it out.

У меня нет бизнес-кумиров, но я уважаю людей, у которых есть страсть в сердце и которые делают все возможное, чтобы достичь своей мечты. По моему скромному мнению, я был бы хорошим, добрым и понимающим боссом для своих сотрудников, но у меня нет возможности проверить это.

There are many different types of business. Some firms sell goods, others provide services. Clients may be either individuals or other companies.

There are large, medium and small businesses. Large companies have more resources, but they tend to be more bureaucratic. Small companies are often more flexible.

I think it is very interesting, but at the same time very difficult, to be a businessman. It is necessary to be competent in marketing, taxation, and generally have a good intuition. In addition, the entrepreneur has irregular working hours. He can set tasks for his employees, but he has to keep everything under control.

Thanks to the enterprising people who develop their companies, we can buy any products we need. In addition, business provides jobs.

Большинство людей работает наемными сотрудниками. Лишь немногие решаются открыть свой собственный бизнес. И это вполне объяснимо. Ведь нет гарантий, что новая компания будет приносить прибыль. Зато успешные бизнесмены становятся очень богатыми.

Существует много разных видов бизнеса. Одни фирмы продают товары, другие — оказывают услуги. Клиентами фирмы могут быть как физические лица, так и другие предприятия.

Различают крупный, средний и мелкий бизнес. У крупных компаний больше ресурсов, но они, как правило, более забюрократизированы. Небольшие компании часто оказываются более гибкими.

Я думаю быть бизнесменом очень интересно, но в то же время очень сложно. Необходимо разбираться в вопросах маркетинга, налогообложения, и вообще иметь хорошую интуицию. К тому же у предпринимателя ненормированный рабочий день. Он может ставить задачи своим сотрудникам, но должен всё держать под контролем.

Благодаря предприимчивым людям, которые развивают свои компании, мы можем купить любые нужные нам товары. К тому же бизнес обеспечивает рабочие места.

Nowadays the word “business” is very popular. It is used everywhere: in communication tied with commercial deals, in mass media, in modern books and films, in scientific and educational context. Sometimes business is equated to trade, but it is a broader phenomenon including all the institutes and relations associated with entrepreneurship – not only goods sale and purchase, but also various services (for example, financial or consulting ones), the banking system, marketing, business etiquette. Business is a main instrument and basis of the market that forms the capitalist economy.

В наши дни слово «бизнес» очень популярно. Оно используется везде: в коммуникации, связанной с коммерческими сделками, в СМИ, в современных книгах и фильмах, в научном и образовательном контексте. Иногда бизнес отождествляется с торговлей, но это более широкий феномен, включающий все институты и отношения, соотносящиеся с предпринимательством – не только продажу и покупку товаров, но и различные услуги (например, финансовые или консалтинговые), банковскую систему, маркетинг, деловой этикет. Бизнес – главный инструмент и основа рынка, который формирует капиталистическую экономику.

The most widespread type of this global thing is the small business. Today every full age person may create a venture if he or she has all the necessary documents (primarily, the license) and some initial capital. Certainly, a few businesspersons can constitute a group of co-owners. On the market, a private enterprise should participate in the competitive struggle in order to survive and realize its goals. A businessman develops his company hiring managers and employees, choosing partners, and attracting clients through advertisement, beneficial price policy or social activities (charity, events for children, etc.).

Самый распространённый тип этого глобального явления – малый бизнес. Сегодня любой совершеннолетний человек может создать предприятие, если у него или у неё есть все необходимые документы (прежде всего, лицензия) и стартовый капитал. Конечно, несколько предпринимателей могут составлять группу совладельцев. На рынке частное предприятие должно участвовать в конкурентной борьбе, чтобы выжить и реализовать свои цели. Бизнесмен развивает компанию, нанимая менеджеров и сотрудников, выбирая партнёров и привлекая клиентов с помощью рекламы, выгодной ценовой политики или социальной деятельности (благотворительности, детских мероприятий и т.д.).

Besides, business affects features of modern mentality: the ideal of a strong, independent, initiative person who effectively uses his or her time and opportunities was born in the business environment. For this reason, a great number of young people dream of launching their own venture.

Однако есть другие, альтернативные формы бизнеса: образовательный бизнес, шоу-бизнес, социальное предпринимательство… Почти все сферы нашей жизни зависят от него. Кроме того, бизнес влияет на особенности современной ментальности: идеал сильного, независимого, инициативного человека, который эффективно использует своё время и свои возможности, родился в бизнес-среде. По этой причине огромное количество молодых людей мечтает открыть собственное предприятие.
